Vendor and Exhibitor Information
We invite you to join us as an exhibitor for the Society of Southwest Archivists (SSA) Annual Meeting in historic Santa Fe, New Mexico. The 2010 Meeting will be held April 28 – May 1, 2010 at the Inn & Spa at Loretto, two short blocks from the city’s famed plaza. This is Santa Fe’s 400th anniversary year, so it will be an exciting time for archivists and our conference exhibitors to meet in America’s oldest capitol city.

The SSA serves over 500 archivists, special collections librarians, preservationists, conservators, records managers, and others interested in the preservation of our documentary heritage. The six states in our region are Arizona, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Texas, but our members come from almost every state and several countries. And our annual meetings draw many local archivists, librarians and records managers not often seen at larger professional meetings.

Exhibitors are very important to our organization, and we are working to create an inviting space that will ensure that our members will have many opportunities to meet with each vendor. The centralized exhibition room will allow for constant foot traffic and also provide a secure area to leave exhibits overnight. A prize giveaway and refreshment breaks will encourage meeting attendees to visit with each exhibitor. We look forward to working with you to improve and promote the archival profession.

The exhibition area is scheduled to open Thursday, April 29 at 9:30 am after the conference’s keynote address by New Mexico author John Nichols (Milagro Beanfield War, The Sterile Cuckoo). Exhibitor registration includes one entrance to both Wednesday evening’s reception at the newly-opened New Mexico History Museum on the plaza and the Friday afternoon/evening museum stroll and reception on Museum Hill (at the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture and the Museum of International Folk Art). We also invite you to join us for Saturday morning’s business breakfast meeting where door prizes donated by vendors and attendees will be given away.
